An International Webinar (6 April 2026)
The Department of Science, in collaboration with the Institution’s
Innovation Council (IIC), Prem Chand Markanda S.D. College for Women,
Jalandhar, organized an International Webinar on 6th April
2026 at 11:00 AM to commemorate World Intellectual Property Rights Day. The
webinar was conducted on the theme “Turning Ideas into Assets:
Importance of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)”, aiming to sensitize
students and faculty members about the growing importance of intellectual property
in today’s knowledge-driven economy.
The objective of organizing this webinar was to foster awareness
regarding Intellectual Property Rights and to encourage innovation, creativity,
and research among students. In the present era of rapid technological
advancement and global competition, safeguarding intellectual creations has
become crucial. The webinar served as a platform to educate participants about
how ideas, inventions, and creative works can be legally protected and
commercially utilized.

The Department of
Science in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of PCM
SD College for Women celebrated National Science Day with great enthusiasm and
academic zeal. The celebration aimed to highlight the importance of science in
everyday life and to encourage students to develop a scientific temperament,
creativity, and innovative thinking. The event provided a platform for students
to explore scientific ideas and express their knowledge through various
engaging activities.
